To mark 8 years at the Runway and celebrate the strong bonds with North Hatfield, Howe Dell Children Centre opened it's doors to the community it has served to positively for 8 years. Hundreds including local Councillors, babies, toddlers, parents, grandparents and carers danced alongside Bollywood dancers, ate a banquet of international food and celebrated 8 successful years before handing over the leadership to Birchwood Hub Nursery as Lead Agency for Howe Dell, Birchwood and De Havilland.
A huge thank you to Mel Chandairia for a stunning cake and so much preparation behind the scenes by staff and volunteers.

'I just wanted to say well done for the party on Friday. The staff and volunteers deserve a medal, cooking for all those people is no mean feat and still having food for the last person, wow.
It just goes to show how much the Children's Centre has been a valued part of the community when you see the amount of people, both pupils of Howe Dell and outside families and friends that were there.
Well done ladies for the past 8 years, and looking forward to the next chapter, hopefully working with all the marvellous staff and volunteers that we already have, and others that we've not yet had a chance to work with, to ensure the best that we can possibly do for our community.'
