At Howe Dell, children from Key Stage 2 participate in weekly Modern Foreign Language lessons which give them the opportunity to explore and learn how to communicate in a different language.  During the lessons, they learn essential vocabulary and phrases which allow them to listen, speak and read in the foreign language. At the end of Key Stage 2, pupils are able to comprehend and discuss basic topics in the target language. Our curriculum is designed with a clear progression of skills and robust teaching materials which allows teachers to deliver engaging lessons building on prior learning.
