Admissions

School Admissions can be an anxious time for parents. The Headteacher and the team are always available to talk about admissions into Nursery, Reception  and also transitioning to Secondary School.

 

If you need help and advice on what to do, please do call the office to arrange an appointment to see us.

 

Admissions at Howe Dell are co-ordinated by Hertfordshire County Council (HCC). Please use the link to the HCC website for direct access.

 

 

30 Hours Free Child Care

Howe Dell Primary School offers 30 hours free child care (08.45 - 15.15). If you are eligible for 30 hours free child care or would like to top up' your 15 free hours to 30 hours, please contact the school office who will provide you with the information you require. admin@howedell.herts.sch.uk

 

Nursery Places

Howe Dell has a 60 place Nursery which runs both morning and afternoon sessions. Each child is entitled to 5 free half day sessions per week (15 Hours).

 

Reception Places

'Starting School' packs are sent out automatically by Hertfordshire County Council to families who have children due to start Reception class. Howe Dell uses the LEA's criteria for Admissions to Primary Schools as the basis for the allocation of parties.

For any enquiries about in-year admissions or to place your child on the waiting list for Howe Dell please contact Admissions at Hertfordshire County Council on 0300 123 4043.

Please note Howe Dell does not keep a waiting list, allocations are made by Hertfordshire County Council Admissions team.
