Welcome to the Governors' section
Our Governing Board is a group of inspiring people who are passionate about providing the very best learning and life opportunities for children at Howe Dell School and Day Care. They discharge their statutory roles and provide challenge and support to school leaders in equal measures.
As a board, they oversee the quality of Education and provision in Day Care and the main school.
Visits to learn about our work and attend Governor led initiatives are warmly welcome.

Governor Newsletters
Governor recruitment: We are always keen to welcome new Governors to our Board. If you know of anyone who would be interested and has a background in finance or education, we would love to hear from them.
From 2023-2024, the structure of the board consists of half termly Full Governing Board meetings that focus upon: Statutory duties, Quality of Education, Resources and Finance.
Katie Fox chairs the Full Governing Board meetings with Nicola Winch chairing Quality of Education and Rick Xu Resources and Finance.
In addition, there is a termly Finance committee meeting to ensure the school remains financially viable over time.
In the Summer term there is a FGB forward planning working party meeting where the Governors review their work, update the SWOT analysis and identify priorities for the next Academic Year.
