Home Learning Resources - Taking Learning Oudoors.
Nursery have had lots of fun outside so far! They made shapes using stencils in the snow and made wands using natural objects. For science week they went outside in the rain and learnt about different types of weather!
Reception went on an Autumn leaf hunt. They worked in pairs to see if they could the different types of leaves on their checklist. They had lots of fun and managed to find lots of leaves. We then used these leaves to print with.
Reception made binoculars and went outside to see if they could spot any birds. They worked in pairs and ticked off any birds they saw on our checklist. We saw lots of black birds and magpies. Children were so inspired, they went home and asked their parents to take them for a walk so they could spot more birds!
Year 1 enjoyed making bird feeders and then went outside to hang them on the trees for the birds to enjoy! They have observed signs of spring and drawn daffodils. The children also looked at what they enjoy about being outdoors and how it makes them feel.
Year 3 explored the Eco-Bus and kingfisher Island to help them write a recount of the experience. This was a part of their outdoor learning and an English lesson.
