I continue to be inspired by the resilience of our staff as they constantly adapt learning, safeguarding and care for children on and off site. To the 20 children on site every day across School and Day Care, so that the majority of parents being Key Workers can continue to do their essential jobs, your acceptance of the 'new normal,' is impressive from those so young.
It has been great through email and Twitter to have contact with a wide reach of members in our Howe Dell Family and for your posts and responses, a huge thank you. We have had photos of spring from daily walks, 'Rainbows of Hope' for Sanctuary House and Hatfield Police Station and even ex-pupils getting in touch: 'once Howe Dell, always Howe Dell'.
Through regularly touching base with those we know will find this period tougher than most, for all sorts of reasons, to staff communicating via social media and virtual platforms, we continue to check in to ensure everyone is OK. (Children closer than 2m in photos are siblings).
Virtual Assemblies are now taking place so that we can chat to children and celebrate the work they are undertaking directly, which is the highlight of my week!
Stay safe everyone, stay indoors and looking forward to seeing you as soon as we are able.
