1st June and chance to welcome back Nursery, Reception, Y1 and Y6 pupils to meet all parental requests and Key Workers' children for remaining year groups.

We loved welcoming back  almost 90 children across Day Care and School on Monday. The feedback from parents was so incredibly positive and we have certainly missed our extended Howe Dell family. Feedback has been really positive and included tweets such as:

“What an amazing job you have done to get Howe Dell open and so safely. It was great to see you all today. Miss Cowan, you’ll have to show us the dance moves my child taught you!” - Adam

“Thank you to all the staff for the hard work and preparation made in order to open today. Despite obvious anxiety, my child had 'an excellent day '. She is so happy to be back.” - Sharon

"I didn't just love my day I adored it" thank you Howe Dell’s amazing team for such a great warm well organised and most importantly safe welcome back after half term. Nothing better than a very happy pick up after a wonderful day “– Kayleigh

Thank you parents for your belief and trust in us to do everything we can to open on 1st June to more families.

Photographs below (many more are on Twitter) really show case the day when we returned to a wider group of families. I know for many this was an emotive decision and we couldn't have done it without the tireless work behind the scenes of all staff but especially SLT and Facilities colleagues.

The capacity to build on parental requests for places which has so far been met by those who replied before our deadline, will be reviewed on a weekly basis. Currently we have Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and year 6 priority groups, plus mixed aged Pods for key workers' or vulnerable children in all other year groups. We also have teaching assistants working tirelessly alongside facilities staff to keep the site clean and safe, plus shielding staff off site continuing to plan for those pupils working at home.

Welcome back to many more of our Howe Dell family!
