Year 6 End of Year Play
The play Rock Bottom was absolutely fantastic. Amazing singing, creative dancing and wonderful acting contributed to an entertaining performance. Well done to all of the performers and also to the wonderful back stage crew who took control of props, music and sound effects.
Hear My Story Week
This week gave the children the opportunity to study an artist and their work. This allowed them to use the painting as inspiration for their own stories and artwork. There was some amazing work created.
The children from Reception to Year 5 had a great time in dance and drama workshops run by Perform For Schools. They danced like Egyptians and acted like they were in the circus. There was lots of creativity and the children had a great time. Please click on the presentation below to see photos and quotes from the children.
Making Eco Poppies
We were approached by the Royal British Legion to make poppies out of recycled plastic bottles to display outside Birchwood Leisure Centre for Remembrance Day. We were delighted to get involved and had a great time with the YCA's and Eco Squad from Year 4, 5 and 6. Thank you to the children in Gardening Club who also made some. The middle section on the poppies hanging outside the leisure centre were the ones made by Howe Dell.
Perform Dance and Drama Workshops
We were lucky to have free workshops from Perform for children in Reception up to Year 5. The children absolutely loved them. Take a look at the presentation below to see what they got up to.
Creativity Week - June 2018
The children enjoyed African drumming, created artwork linked to Africa and the Lion King, learnt songs to join in our 'Sing Along With The Lion King' and created masks and costumes linked to carnivals. What a fabulous week. Take a look at the Power Point to see some of the outcomes.
