Art and D&T Sculpture Gallery
All year groups have recently taken part in a whole school Art and D&T Sculpture project. The aim was to ensure various media were researched and their styles were applied by pupils, having learned about a selection of artists from across the globe. 3 dimensional work is a developing area in our creative curriculum and recognising diversity of artists and their influences were also a priority.

Mrs Massey’s Google Classroom Story Sessions
Across the school, we have thoroughly enjoyed story sessions with Mrs Massey. Children learning at school and at home have been inspired to create artwork based on the wonderful stories we have listened to in our story sessions.
Year 3 have been busy in the Outdoor Classroom creating artworks using natural materials, inspired by the artist Andy Goldsworthy.
The Great British Birdwatch 2021
Children learning at school and at home have been busy creating artworks inspired by the birds they observed during the Great British Birdwatch.
Sculptures in Year 1
The children in Year 1 have been learning about natural sculptures and have been inspired by artists such as Andy Goldsworthy. They have produced some fantastic work using only natural materials.
Hear My Story Week
There was some amazing art work created inspired by artists studied throughout the week. Some of these pieces of work were also used as inspiration for writing and story telling.
Living Streets Design a Badge Competition
Thank you to all the children who entered the Living Streets Walk to School - Design a Badge competition. Children were asked to think about important inventions through history to help them design their badge. There were some fantastic ideas. The four designs below were chosen to be sent off to the Living Streets and we are waiting to hear if any of them have been picked.
Creativity Week 4-8th June
The children had a fantastic week incorporating Art, Music and Drama into our weekly curriculum celebrating Africa and The Lion King. Please take a look at the presentation below to see what we got up to.
Christmas Card - Art Competition for the Mayor
Thank you to all of the children who designed Christmas scenes as part of the home-learning set in October. Here is a selection of some of the fabulous work which was created. We will find out soon if any of the designs have been chosen by the Mayor for this year's Christmas cards.
Hatfield Scenes for Local Calendar
The children in Year 5 and 6 used scenes of Hatfield to create their own pictures. Here are a few to look at. Well done Juliana and Amalia in Year 5 and Seyram in Year 6. We can't wait to find out if your artwork will be included in the calendar which will go on sale soon. We will give more details when we have them!
